The Baker Bunch is made up of Mark (36), Amy (36), Stephen (7), Brandon (5) and lil' Daniel (2), all Baker Boys!

We were married on August 15, 1992 (8 years more than a lot of couples) and met while attending Moody Graduate School in Chicago, IL., where we both received our Masters in Biblical Studies. We were preparing to go into full-time ministry. As those doors closed, another door opened . . . the door to a little resort . . . Robin's Resort.

The resort is located at beautiful Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Mark's family bought the resort back in 1976. Mark's brothers, Randy and Troy, and sister Wanda, all helped run the family business. Harold and Madonna, Mark's parents, retired back in 1992 and we took over at that point.

Mark's Dad and Mom still live at the Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach. They enjoy the "retired life" and spend the summers golfing and boating at the lake and then take their RV and travel to Texas and Arizona in the Winter. Yes, they golf while they are there as well. Randy (40), Mark's oldest brother, lives in Kansas City and works for General Mills in Food Service sales. Wanda (38), Mark's sister, lives in Houston, Texas, as a homemaker and mother of Jackson (13) and Jessica (11). Chuck, Wanda's husband, works in the oil field with Unocal. Troy (34), Mark's younger brother, lives in Dallas, Texas. Troy's wife's name is Heather and they have four kids; Anthony (10), Jordan (8), Zachery (6) and Madison (4). Troy is a sales rep for Tyndale, a Christian book distributor.

Amy's folks, Mike and Barb Morgan, live in Holden Beach, NC, which is about 45 minutes north of Myrtle Beach, SC. Mike is the Town Manager for the entire city. Barb, Amy's Mom, stays busy at home and taking care of their two dogs. Amy's parents just recently built a new house on the Lockwood Folly's golf course. Amy's sister, Leslie, is married to Joe and they have three kids also, Jennifer (12), Micheal (9) and Molly (7).

Unfortunately, the distance between Amy's family and ours is such that we don't get to see them as often as we like. It also seems like we have "butted heads" on various issues and that has hampered a closer relationship. Perhaps our family web site will be a "stepping stone" to building that bridge.
