With over 1200 miles of shoreline surrounding this 90 mile long body of water,
the Lake of the Ozarks is dainted with isolated coves, majestic scenery and
picturesque sunsets, making the lake a boaters dream. You will find all
varieties of boats on the lake. During the off-season you will see lots of
bass, pontoon, and 20' ski boats. Week days during the summer the lake is
exceptionally calm with many family boaters. The weekend brings many of your
bigger boats ranging anywhere from 24' - 50' in length as well as PWC. Thus,
the water is certainly rougher on the weekends. However, there are great ski
coves in every arm of the lake and calm water for those family gatherings any
time of the week.All your boating needs are taken care of by the finest boat dealers, marina's and boat rentals on both land and water. Gas is readily available all over the lake. Normal operation hours during the summer range from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the off-season. If you don't have a boat, you can always enjoy the lake by taking one of the many cruises that take off daily.
