State Park's

Lake of the Ozarks is fortunate to host two State Park's. The Lake of the Ozarks State Park is the largest State Park in the state of Missouri. It comprises of 17,000 acres with many miles of shoreline bordering the lake. You will find everything from fishing, wildlife and boating to camping, swiming on sand beaches, having a picnic, horseback riding, hiking trails, mountain biking ... there is even a boat trail and an airport.

The newest State Park in Missouri is beautiful Ha Ha Tonka State Park. The state of Missouri purchased the land and old castle ruins back in 1978. It comprises about 2,400 acres on the quiet Niagua Arm of Lake of the Ozarks. There is much to do here as well. The castle is absolutely breathtaking with panoramic views of the Ozarks and the lake. Trails daint the hilly terrain and take you to the stables, water tower and spring. Trails range from a a half mile to mile. Several shelter areas provide group picnic opportunities ... one of them is at the water's edge.

As you enter either State Park be sure to stop by the Park Office and get a booklet that marks all the trails both on land and water. You can even set up a guided tour if you have a group.
